Francie And Ellie of The Clouds
Late last year — way up in the atmosphere — two tiny puffs of vapor twirled as they wafted through the sky, commingling from time to time. As they danced above our heads, their particles multiplied and configured into the most darling of shapes. Soon the vapor crystalized and took the form of two English cream golden retriever puppies.
The pups wrestled and gnawed on each other’s floppy ears and sweet tails to pass the time as their figures billowed and sailed through the troposphere. And from their vantage point, they canvassed terra firma to seek out potential adopters.
Then, when they grew too heavy for the sky to hold, they floated down to the earth — as gracefully as two creatures with paws much too big for their clumsy brains could — and landed in the arms of an adoring family.
The clouds were christened Francie and Ellie.
